Interview With Social Media Influencer Priyanka Haldar

This is nothing changed or new for many marketers; campaigns have been running with an influencer element for many years but now the social media gave the opportunity for everyone to showcase their talent to outstand the crowd.

They have become so effective that many brands focus their marketing efforts almost solely on social media audiences via these influencers who are continuously active on their profile and always come up with new ideas. Tapping into these networks is a way for brands to connect with consumers, in fact, they have more trustable audience apart from the numbers.

These influencers have relatively high levels of trust and admiration, whereby people are far more welcoming of recommendations and promotions than they would be when receiving promotions via other means and creating their own path of success. Sonali Sharma(Editor) from SocialTalk spoke with young talent Priyanka Haldar, an impactable influencer and content creator.

Interviewer: Hello Priyanka, Please tell me about your journey.

Priyanka: I'm Priyanka knows as piku. I'm from Kolkata but I live in Bangalore for the past 15 years. 

I first came to Bangalore in 2005 for my education and after I completed my education I started working in an event company and I want settle in Bangalore for rest if my life. 

My journey of being a blogger/ influencer wants easy and it still isn't,  I have faced many challenges, many negativities and there were only a few people who supported me but I never lost hope and did my best to reach this point in my life. 



Interviewer: What is the best thing about being an influencer?

Priyanka: it's that you get know about people like and dislike and how they follow u and ur advice,  how people look forward to us. 

And of course recognization too. 

Interviewer: What is your brand’s objective?

Priyanka: quality, Quantity and identification. 

Interviewer: What is the best collaboration that you have done with a brand?

Priyanka: I choose my collaboration and they all turn be the best. 

Interviewer: How supportive have Instagram been?

Priyanka: A lot I am recognized by few and it's all cause of the platform Instagram has given. 

Interviewer: What is the age range of your target customer?

Priyanka: 18+ 

Interviewer: What would you do if you didn’t work as an influencer?

Priyanka:  event planner, which I am already. 

Interviewer: Tell us about your likes and dislikes, hobbies?

Priyanka: I love nature (flowers,  night sky, birds and butterflies) , I am an animal lover, I like reading books,  singing, acting, drawing, I love ice-cream,  pasta, pizza, and chicken biryani.

There's nothing that I dislike or maybe I am not focused on what I don't like. 



Interviewer: How does social media fit into your growth plan?

Priyanka: super well,  that's the only key to my dream. 

Interviewer: What’s the biggest barrier to your success on social media?

Priyanka: social media insight (reach)  the content just doesn't reach to people and that's the barrier. 

Interviewer: How do you communicate with people or fans?

Priyanka:  I go live often also I put up stories asking for suggestions, feedback.

Q&A sections and poles and kinds of stuff help me know what people want from me. 

Interviewer: Have you heard or used the Instagram product Reel, how it is different from TikTok? 

Priyanka:  yes I did use but I feel TikTok was better in many ways.  As TikTok had many features and options for songs and dialogues but reel doesn't also the timing doesn't match-up. 

Interviewer: Have you worked with any brands before? And if so how was your e How would you like to collaborate with brands? 

Priyanka: Yes I have worked with brands before and I love to love to collaborate with more brands coming my ways no matter it's a small or a big brand. 



Interviewer: What strategic advice do you have for up and coming Instagram influencers?

Priyanka: first thing u have to believe that you can do and then u have love what u do,  ignore negativities and be self-confident, know what ur followers expect from you and interact with them. 

And above all its constancy and lots and lots of effort.
